Dr. Ryan didn't just settle in Western North Carolina, he put down roots here. He chose these mountains, this community, and these families.
More than twenty years later his patients range from kids he treated who now bring their own children in — and he still remembers every name
Dr. Ryan Haldeman grew up on a small farm in Iowa, where community wasn’t a concept, it was just how life worked. Neighbors helped neighbors. You showed up for people. You did the job right the first time. Those values have never left him.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa, Dr. Ryan continued on to dental school in Iowa City, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. His path then brought him to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he completed his Master of Science in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at UNC.
He fell in love with the mountains. Asheville became home, and Western North Carolina became his community. For over twenty years, he has built relationships with families, treating parents and their children, watching kids grow up, and celebrating the moment someone sees their finished smile for the first time.
That moment never gets old. It's why he does what he does.
